Pasukan na naman!

May 18, 2015. The day of the Brigada Eskuela. That day is a grim reminder to many, if not all students around the Philippines.

Malapit na ang pasukan.

Of course, its not all long faces for us. For some, classes would mean that they could finally do something other than sitting in the front of their computer all day. At the day of the Brigada, old squads will reunite once again. There are sure to be squads that will go straight to Market Market to bond again. Mortal enemies will see each other again. And of course, some are particularly ecstatic for the Brigada and the classes, because after an eternity of waiting, they'll finally see their crush in person (Yieee!).

How about you? Are you excited for the classes to begin? Or are you groaning in despair? (GS)

REJECTED!

Rejection, for me, is one of the worst feelings you could ever experience in your life. I'm not just talking about rejection in the field of love, because there are many forms of rejection. You could be rejected by your friends, or even your family.

Who isn't scared of being rejected? I believe most guys (like me) are afraid to make a move is because they are afraid that the girl would not like them back. Many people do not do something they badly want to do, because they think that the people around him will dislike him/her for that. Every one of us is consumed by the fear of not living up to expectations, of being disliked by the people around him.

Consider me as one of those people who think that way. My mind seems to be hardwired to think of what I think other people think about me. I worry about how other people think of me. That's why whenever I get seenzoned by my friends, it seriously hurts me. Why? Because I think that I've become so irritating, they just decided to ignore me, to reject me.

I'm not the only one, am I? (GS)

Mayweather: Master Tactician or a Cowering Champion?

Anyone who watched the so-called "Fight of the Century" must be disappointed with what transpired. Instead of two future boxing legends slugging it out in a battle for greatness, we saw a champion desperately trying to elude the other boxer, who we later learned wasn't fighting at his best, by hugging and running, in a perceived act of cowardice.

Or was it?

After all, whether you're on his side or against him, Floyd Mayweather will go down as one of the greatest defensive tacticians in boxing history, however you dislike his strategy. Granted, most of his matches were fairly easy in comparison to Pacquiao (the names that Money faced that Pacquiao also met in the ring were all past their boxing primes), but coming into the fight, you knew that he had a game plan coming into the match, "Don't let Pacman gain traction, or build momentum".

Sure, it was an eyesore for boxing fans, but any boxing expert saw that it wasn't an act of cowardice. He kept Pacquiao at bay with the jab (owing to his long reach), and he masterfully eluded the latter's attacks whenever he caught fire.

I'm no fan of Mayweather, in or out the ring. In fact, consider me one of the many haters of Mayweather. However, one can't deny that Money edged out Pacman, and for him and his fans, that's more than enough. (GS)

Picking your champions, Part 1 (A Dummy's Guide to LoL, Chapter 2)

I'm baaack! In today's edition of ADGL (the acronym sucks, I know), we'll take a look at the different roles in League of Legends, and who should you pick first as your new champion.

Battle Training

This is actually a nice feature added by Riot Games. Even though LoL was based of the infamous Dota, there are quite a lot of different features that are added in LoL. Whether you have experience in Dota or none, I highly recommend playing the Battle Training mode first, then come back here for a bit more information.

Meet your champion

So, I assume you've already played Battle Training. That's good, at least now you have a basic overview on how LoL is played. As you have seen, there were only three champions that you can choose from in BaTr: Ashe, the Frost Archer, Garen, the Might of Demacia, and Ryze, the Rogue Mage. In reality, there are 124 champions in League of Legends, and every week, 10 of these champions are free-to-play, which means they are available to play, whether you own them or not. Of course, it's better to buy champions which you like, so you can play them whenever you like.

However, Rito has a special, non-rotating, champion rotation for players who are Lvl. 5 and below (i.e, you). These are:
  • Ahri, the Nine-Tailed Fox
  • Anivia, the Cyrophoenix
  • Annie, the Dark Child
  • Ashe, the Frost Archer
  • Garen, the Might of Demacia
  • Irelia, the Will of the Blades
  • Master Yi, the Wuju Bladesman
  • Ryze, the Rogue Mage
  • Sivir, the Battle Mistress
  • Warwick, the Blood Hunter
These names may not seem familiar to you, but fret not! I'm here to guide you on what's what for these champs.

Playing a role

Every one of us plays a role in life, and it's no different in League of Legends. Every summoner must have a defined role in which he's comfortable with.

Here are the most common roles in LoL. See where you fit in, and decide.

Assassins

If you're the type who likes to eliminate opponents quickly and easily, going invisible, and wants high mobility then this class is for you. Assassins are either AP (ability power, more on that later) burst oriented champs, which means that they rely on their abilities to deal tons of damage in just one combo, or AD (attack damage) champs that deal damage-per-second attacks. Assassins also have some sort of invisibility (Teemo, Evelynn) or blinking ablity (LeBlanc) that they use to move around.

Pros:

  • High damage output, can easily kill low-health or fragile targets
  • Especially useful for stealth ops, or ganks.
  • Very agile, can easily move from one spot to another

Cons:

  • Very fragile, can easily be killed.
  • Pretty much non-existent in late game

 Who should you pick:

Master Yi is an excellent pick for the chaps out there who want to step into the shoes of an Assassin. I suggest reading the link above, as it details the abilities that Yi uses. Other choices would be Ahri, the Nine-Tailed Fox, or Irelia, the Will of the Blades. However, out of these three, Master Yi is probably the easiest to use for starters, while Ahri or Irelia are better once you've had some experience playing.

Fighters/Off-tanks

This class is the most well-rounded out of the many classes in LoL. Essentially, it takes a little bit of the damage output of Marksmen (without the range), and a litle bit of tankiness from Tanks, and combines it into a hybrid. Fighters are also called off-tanks because they have natural tankiness in them. They have abilities that deal DAMAGE, and can bring the pain in teamfights.

Pros:

  • Fair damage output
  • High survivability
  • Very well rounded, can be either an Assassin or Tank depending on the build

Cons:

  • Damage dealt isn't as reliable as AD Carries
  • Quite slow, so it's easy to chase them down.
  • Tend to fall off late game

Who should you use?

Should you choose to take the life of a Fighter, then Garen, the Might of Demacia is what I recommend. He's pretty easy to use, and has the balance between a Tank and a Fighter. Other choices would be Master Yi, the Wuju Bladesman, or Warwick, the Blood Hunter

Mage

The mages, masters of the arcane world, are composed of mainly ranged champions with high AP damage, decent crowd control (refer to this dictionary for info about CC), but are really, really fragile. Mages either have high burst potential (they can deal lots of damage by using their abilites), or have DoT (damage-over-time) attacks.

Pros:

  • Enemies have a hard time itemizing against mages
  • Very powerful kit (the abilities a champion has)
  • Can carry a team

Cons:

  • Very squishy, can easily be locked down by Fighters
  • Somewhat fades at the late game
  • Somewhat slow

Who should you use?

If you plan on taking up the challenge of a Mage, then Ryze, the Rogue Mage, should be a great start for you. Other mages that you could choose are Ahri, the Nine-Tailed Fox, and Annie, the Dark Child. All of these are great mages, and Ahri, in particular, when mastered, is very, very deadly.

Look out for part 2, coming in about three days!

Carpe Diem

Seize the Day. That is the exact meaning of "Carpe Diem", a Latin term taken from a poem by Horace. So how should this phrase impact your life?

In layman's terms, carpe diem means make the most out of it. When opportunity knocks at the door, open the door with gladness and determination. Because once the opportunity goes away, you may never get that chance again.

So, you're planning to do something you've really wanted to do? Then go for it, you dummy! Unless what you want to do is illegal and/or unethical, there's nothing stopping you from doing what you want. Just don't go overboard, okay?

Take it from me, once you've realized you've missed a really good opportunity, it hurts like hell. You know you could have done this, could've won that, but you just disregarded the chance.

A dummy's guide to League of Legends, part 1

Hey, guys! I'm feeling a little bit bored (and disappointed, damn PC won't let me try URF), so here, I made a sort-of guide to the peeps planning to enter the realm of summoners and champions, the League of Legends.

What is League of Legends?

For starters, League of Legends (previously known as League of Legends: Clash of Fates) is a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre video game developed by Riot Games. It was designed to operate on the Microsoft Windows operating system. The game was first announced on October 7th, 2008 and released a year later on October 27th, 2009. The game was in beta from April 10th, 2009 to October 26th, 2009.

If you're unfamiliar with MOBAs, multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA), also known as action real-time strategy (ARTS), originated as a subgenre of the real-time strategy (RTS) genre of video games, in which a player controls a single character in one of two teams. The objective is to destroy the opposing team's main structure with the assistance of periodically spawned computer-controlled units that march forward along set paths.

Yeah, enough with the history. How do you play this game?

Each game starts with two games, with either three or five members per team. The main objective of the game is to destroy the opposing team's "Nexus", or the spawn point for the other team. Your spawn point is also your "Nexus". Sounds pretty easy, right?

Think again. There are three "lanes", or routes that the periodically spawning "minions" take, in Summoner's Rift. Each lane has three turrets that protect the "Nexus". Be warned, these turrets can, and will, hurt you, so to destroy the turrets, you'll need the cover of the minions. Also, attacking an enemy champion while under the range of a turret will cause the turret to attack you.

Let's talk about these lanes later on, and focus on another topic. Along the course of the game, you gain experience points and gold, which can be used to purchase items that improve your champion's stats, after completing select objectives. These objectives include, but are not limited to, killing an enemy champion, destroying an enemy turret, and killing minions.

Alright, how do I get this game? Is it for free?

Here in PH, the only way to play LoL is through the Garena client, which can be downloaded here. After downloading and installing Garena+, the next step is to download LoL from the G+ client. That's pretty easy.

Some of the champions that can be bought from the in-game store. These champs, along with a whole lot more, can be bought from the in-game store using Influence Points (in-game currency), or Riot Points (bought with real money)

As for the free part, well, I can't say it's for free. Though downloading the program is for free (yay!), there are numerous things that can be bought from the in-game store (not the one when you play a match). You can unlock champions (yes, these are bought), skins, and other things that can boost your game, statistically or aesthetically speaking. So, it is free to play, but to fully enjoy League of Legends, you need a fat stash of cash.

That's part 1 of "A Dummy's Guide to League of Legends", tune in next time for another edition!

Odd sports you SHOULD try

With summer vacation in full swing now, students and adults alike strive to find ways to kill the pesky bug called boredom. While some easily achieve it, by playing "traditional" sports like basketball and volleyball, or just sitting in front of the computer for hours, some have a need for weird. If you're one of these types, then you're in luck. Dr. 2Cool4Usernames, specializing in removing boredom, has come to save the day! Here are some ODD (really, really odd, I tell you) sports you should try out.

Bed Racing

For those who want to just lie down and relax, yet long to experience the rush of pure adrenaline in their veins, this is the sport for you.

The competitors race in teams of six, plus one on the bed. Each team must provide their own bed, decorated in the theme for the year. The bed runs on four wheels, but also need to be able to float, as explained below.

The 3km run race begins and ends at Conyngham Hall. About halfway through the run, the teams face the one-in-five gradient climb to Castle Top before it’s back down the hill and toward the final challenge – crossing a river. [1]

Of course, it's no fun when you're pushing the bed, so why not volunteer as the one on the bed?

Extreme Ironing

Ever thought ironing your clothes is a pain in the ass? Think again, these guys take ironing to a whole new level. This will LITERALLY be a pain!

People who do extreme ironing go to a remote location and iron clothes! Really. They call themselves 'ironists', and get a thrill from taking their ironing board, unplugged iron and some of their wrinkly clothes to some extreme places and photograph themselves doing it.

Such places that they have reached include extreme altitude, underwater, hanging from cliffs, and on top of vehicles. [2]

It's hard to call this a "sport", but this is most definitely EXTREME!

Worm Charming

Now, THIS is odd. I've heard of snake charming, but worm charming? That is really odd.

The sport of worm charming (also known as worm grunting and worm fiddling) is very simple. Each competitor gets a patch of ground and a certain amount of time to bring as many worms to the surface as they can.

Competitors can use just about any method they wish, though be warned - the use of dishwashing detergent has been banned.[3]

This is not for people who dislike worms, obviously.

So, what do you think? Do you like to try out these oddballs? Be warned though, some of these are dangerous, and should never be done without an adult.

If you want to check out more odd sports, just go to this site here!

That's what friends are for...

Pro-tip: In times of need, remember that you have friends you can lean on.

Whether that problem may be related to love problems, or grade-related problems, you should never forget that you have your friends that you can open up with. Have trust, and confide with them what you need, because if they really are your friends, they'll do anything to resolve that problem. Well, maybe except for financial aid. You're on your own, bro.

Forget about the "you can do this yourself" motto. There really are times when problems will overwhelm you, and you have no choice but to ask for help. They may mess with at times, but when the time comes where you plead for aid, they'll be by your side to rescue you. (2C4U)

OR or UR? Spaghetti and KPOP

Wassup guys? So today, I have decided to start a weekly post entitiled "Overrated or Underrated?", where I take two to three random topics and decide whether they are overrated or underrated. This week, we start with two random things: Spaghetti and KPOP.

Spaghetti

Verdict: Overrated

Ah, spaghetti. This food is always a staple in birthday parties, as it's said to be a life-prolonger. Also, a lot of kids like eating spaghetti.

That being said, despite being a staple in parties, I feel that spag is a tad bit overrated, because really, aside from carbonara, how many other variations of spaghetti can you name? I'll admit I'm a fan of spaghetti, heck, I can eat a whole pot of this food in about 2 hours! But because of the lack of other types (fried chicken has a whole lot of variations, trust me), I think spaghetti has to take a step back in terms of being served in b-days.

KPOP

Verdict: OVERRATED

There's a reason why caps lock is on while I was typing overrated.

KPOP is one of the few music genres that I never appreciated, and I guess that won't change. Because, seriously, does anyone in the Philippines understand the lyrics of those songs (probably the really avid fans of KPOP)? It just does not register in my mind how could you like a song you barely even understand!

Anyways, what do you think? Do you disagree or agree with me? Feel free to post your opinions in the comment box below!

Love, and how do you know when you're in it?

According to the eternal Wikipedia, love is defined as a variety of different feelings, states, and attitudes that ranges from interpersonal affection ("I love my mother") to pleasure ("I loved that meal"). In a sense, this is true, as love can apply to your mother and your special someone, however the difference between those two are apparent.

Let's talk about the side of love that does not involve any of your relatives. This type of love is definitely harder to deal with, because (a) you never know whether you're in that state or it's just plain infatuation, and (b) once you confirm you really are in love, it's hard to express it. The first reason is particularly very troublesome, because there's a really thin line between loving a person and merely being attracted to her beauty.

So, how in the freaking hell do you know if you've fallen in love? I've asked a couple of people about it, and the answer I got? "It depends on you.", which is actually true (hey, that rhymes!). Some people are in love when they almost always think about her, which may or may not be the case for me. Others are in love when they want to see her everyday (not to be confused with stalking). Still others find true love when they continually argue with someone (its weird, but hey, opposites attract!).

To end this post, let me quote Erich Fromm: "Immature love says: 'I love you because I need you.' Mature love says 'I need you because I love you.'". (2C4U)

Five things that irritate me in LoL

Basketball and blogging are not only my favorite pastimes. Another favorite activity of mine is playing MOBA (massive online battle arena) games, and specifically, League of Legends by Riot Games. And along with playing this game, comes a lot of frustration in this game.

In this post, I'll be detailing some of the things that annoy me to no end in LoL.

5. LAG!!!!

Okay, that picture may be an exaggeration, but still, any MOBA player should get frustrated when his/her character slides from one spot to another, then goes back to his original spot.

What really sucks is when both your internet and your PC are toasters, which means that they are both outdated. And trust me when I say this, it's really, really frustrating. Add to that a fluctuating internet connection, and presto! You have the ultimate rage-quit inducing machine!

4. Bad teammates

To the guy playing as Sivir, I pity you. To have such a bad team, you must be really unlucky to have a bad team.

Anyways, LoL is pretty notorious for the trolls (no, I'm not referring to Trundle) that scamper around the Rift. From the ones that trash talk endlessly, to the ones that buy tons of pink wards for the "thrill" of it, the Institute of War has long been infested with these no-good summoners.

Anyways, aside from trolls, there are also players who just, to put it bluntly, suck at playing LoL. This type is also normal, albeit less common in higher levels. However, this kind of player is frustrating, mainly because he makes his enemies a lot stronger.

3. Teemo

To mere onlookers, Teemo, the Swift Scout, may seem like cute fella, one you can get along with, and his lore says the same thing. However, for long-time League players, Teemo is the devil reincarnate, someone who has the power to annoy allies and foes alike.

For his teammates, Teemo is the ultimate kill stealer, and therefore he frustrates everyone. Because of his E's passive, Toxic Shot, enemies hit by an auto-attack are dealt damage over time, with added magic damage. A typical situation is when a player is chasing an enemy, who has been hit by an auto-attack from the TEEMO. As that player uses his ultimate, the enemy dies, making his ultimate useless.

For his foes, Teemo makes the whole Rift a minefield, thanks to his ult, Noxious Trap. This essentially places a trap that slows enemies stepping on it, while dealing poison damage over time. No brush is safe when the Swift Scout is around. In times of low health and recalling, whenever you step onto the brush, there's always a chance one of Teemo's shrooms are there, effectively killing off the poor victim.

2. OP champions

Unfortunately, Teemo isn't the only champion who is too strong. In fact, with the right items, you can easily counter the Swift Scout (I recommend building Mag. Res. against him), unlike a few other champions, whose power can't easily be nerfed, or fixed.

A perfect example of this kind of champion was Katarina, the Sinister Blade. She was really deadly, because of her passive, Voracity. Before, scoring a kill or assisting on one reduces the cooldown on ALL of her abilities by 15 seconds. Therefore, she was easily the deadliest Pentakill on two legs. But thankfully, she was nerfed, and now, she needs to kill her opponents within 3 seconds to get a cooldown reset.

Some, however, remain to be fixed, such as Master Yi, the Wuju Bladesman. He's a melee fighter, and his recommended build depends on attack speed. This is perfectly fine, all Attack Damage Carries depend on lightning-quick attack speed to dominate. However, aside from this, his ult, Highlander, dramatically increases his attack speed and movement speed, which makes killing off his enemies easier. To top it off, Highlander's duration is increased whenever Yi kills or assists on a kill of an enemy when Highlander is on. So yeah, it's a real pain in the ass whenever Master Yi's on the other side.

1. Jungling is a real pain today.

For those unfamiliar, jungling refers to clearing off monster camps situated in between lanes. This is crucial in a team, because of the jungler's roaming nature, he clears the fog of war that covers the Rift.

However, today's jungle is really, really hard. New junglers have trouble learning how to clear camps effectively, while experienced junglers have trouble on how the new jungle works. Really, jungling is really tough this days. That's coming from someone who has been jungling for about 3 months already.

What makes matters worse is the lack of jungle diversity. Today, only a few champions can play the jungle effectively, such as Jarvan IV and Lee Sin. Other champions, who previously worked well in the jungle, have a really hard time now. To add to that problem, the items in jungling are not really that diverse too.

Thankfully, it seems like Riot has plans to fix this, with one of the jungle item enchants (boosts to items) bound to be replaced with something more specific to tanky junglers (looking at you, J4). The Juggernaut enchantment is set to be replaced with a new enchant which gives the user a Sunfire-esque aura around the owner (for the non-LoL players, Sunfire Cape is an item which aside from adding health, also has a passive which deals damage to nearby enemies, like you're surrounded in fire.)

That about wraps it up! Thank you for reading, and +1's are always appreciated!

Splitting Decision: Pacquiao or Mayweather?

It has finally been realized!

After years of waiting, dodging, and taunting, the world will finally see a clash between two boxing icons, when the undefeated Floyd Mayweather, Jr., takes on the "People's Champ" Manny Pacquiao. This titanic bout has been dubbed, "The Fight of the Century".

And early on, people are taking sides between the two champs. Filipinos, of course, will root for Pacquiao. However, in the US, there's a split decision between the two. Despite a 2 1/2 - 1 odds against Pac-man, some Americans choose Pacquiao to end Mayweather's unbeaten streak.

For instance, Mike Tyson, the legendary boxer, demonstrated in a video how Pacquiao will beat Mayweather. He reasons that since Pacquiao likes to throw a lot of punches, and Mayweather is more of a laid-back person, Mayweather will be put on a disadvantage unless he puts a fight early on.

Juan Manuel Marquez, one of the few boxers to take down the Filipino boxer, believes that Pacquiao will ensure victory only if he knocks Mayweather out cold. This most definitely comes from experience. He says Pacquiao needs to be aggresive, as Mayweather's defensive stance poses a huge problem for Pac-Man. [1]

BoxingNews24's Jamie Ortega posted a 13-point list on why Mayweather won't be able to keep up with Pacquiao. Ortega repeatedly emphasizes that (a) Mayweather has never fought someone with a style like Pacquiao and (b) Pacquiao has faced harder competition then Mayweather. Ortega also says that Pacquiao's boxing style (moving around the ring endlessly) will be a tough match-up for Mayweather, which is also the case for his cardio.[2]
So, what do you think? Who will win this epic match-up? Will it be Mayweather retaining his undefeated streak? Or will Pacman conquer the odds and end Mayweather's reign? (2C4U)

A sort of confession

It's really funny, how a lot of things change in a span of few years. From being close, you may become distant, then back to a lesser extent.

Let us go to my freshman year. Fresh out of the infatuation days in elementary, I did not really know how to cope up with the juggernaut of high school. So, naturally, at the first day, I had no absolute idea of what to do.

After the sectioning test, I met a few of my new classmates. Little did I know, that one of my classmates there was also going in the same school service I was on. It was weird, really. She did not really stand out of the class. To be honest, she wasn't a bright spot in our class because she was quiet (try looking at her now, and you might not believe me though).

As the months went by, we became some sort of friends, which was to be expected, because we were both classmates, and service mates (is that even a word?), so we see each other almost every day. I don't know why, but as the time flew by me, she seemed to look more beautiful. I merely pinned it down to me being a guy. That seemed logical, because every straight guy finds a girl (or ten) that is attractive. Right?

However, that did not seem to be the case. We had our fair share of laughs in the service, where she would always tease me endlessly, from not knowing how to count properly (go figure), to relating me to a certain animal. And instead of getting mad, I would just get irritated (trust me, those two are different), and laugh it off. I could not stop looking at her, until sometimes I need to slap myself to break out of my trance. That's when I realized, I had a crush. On her.

Fast forward. First day of Grade 8. I was quite disappointed, because aside from changing my service, I also changed sections, which ultimately meant less time to see her. But still, she talked to me quite usually. From encounters at the canteen, to asking about a few class-related questions, we were quite close (I guess, maybe).

Then, sh*t happened. Word about my little(?) crush may have gotten out, and that could be the reason why we suddenly became distant. Either that, or because of the natural rift between two different sections. I did not mind it, and instead continued my life, which, of course, included admiring her from a (long) distance.

Another time warp, this time, around the time of the announcement of the prom this year. Of course, people were talking about the prom, who to dance, what to wear, and other stuff. Me? I was thinking of a way to eat as much food as possible without getting full. Then, somebody (one of my classmates) asked me ""Isasayaw mo ba siya sa prom?"". I said, ""Kung magkaroon ng pagkakataon, why not?"". That's when my mind into overdrive. Not a single day passed without me thinking of how to ask her out to dance. Yet, I did not have the guts to do it. So I said to myself, ""Hey, the prom could pass by me without even dancing, right?""

Despite that thought, it never left my mind. I even bought flowers, for god's sake! Truth be told, I planned those flowers to given to the girls I'm going to dance, as a sign of courtesy. Then at the prom, I nearly blew a fuse. She looked absolutely STUNNING. It was like Aphrodite herself gave her a makeover for the ages. Of course, my classmates went on teasing me about her and stuff. I merely shrug it off, and went to wander around.

After the age-long program proper, it was finally time for some partying, if you call 1 hour partying. First up was the lively beats, which I was not really in the mood to do so. Then came the slow dance, where with my friends, danced with a few girls from my class. Most of those girls asked me the same damn question: ""Sinayaw mo na siya?"". My response to every question? ""Hindi pa"", to their dismay. I decided I would make this promenade memorable, if this was to be the last, by asking her to my last dance.

When the night was nearing its end, I enlisted the help of a classmate of mine. Reason? Because to be honest, I'm ashamed of asking her in front of her friends. So that friend of mine came through in the end. When she was in front of me for the first time in months (years?), I gave her the flowers (which, miraculously, was still a lot), then asked her ""May I have this dance?"". Thankfully, she said yes! My mind was internally screaming (can minds really scream?) with glee.

So yeah, long story short, I asked her, she said yes, I was evidently happy.

If it's not obvious, it's the post someone posted in SRCCD. So yes, it was me who posted it. And since someone *glares at Lyndon* told me that this was a personal blog, therefore I should write my heart tells me to.

What NOT to do in front of your crush!

Every one of us has his/her apple of the eye. The girl that makes your stomach churn, your frown turn upside down. The one that gives you the good vibes in the darkest of days. That's your crush (love, however, is a very different thing).

That being said, some of us try very hard to impress our crushes. Whenever she's watching, you always have that feeling of wanting to do your best, just to get her attention. Some, however, do it wrongly. Here are a few tips on how NOT to act in front of her.

1. Do not do anything idiotic

This one comes from experience, and believe me when I say this, I have lots of experiences with this. Really bad ones.

Anyways, this is pretty straightforward. Never, ever do stupid things to attract her, 'cause obviously, it may give bad vibes about you. Do not try to do an impersonation of a video game character. Do not lie down in cement. And worst of all, DO NOT howl whenever she's around. That's just not really appropriate.

2. Do not try to act cool, but be confident

This may be a little confusing. How do you become confident without acting cool?

It's simple: Do not go fixing your hair or doing all those jeje poses whenver she's there. That does not leave a good impression. However, try looking like someone who can take on Sion and Jarvan using a mere Annie, or someone who can duel with LeBron James in a first-to-21 game. Act confident, but don't get too cocky and start boasting, because it does not make you cool.

3. Don't be too obvious

Of course, when a few of your friends know of this feeling you have towards someone, they'll tease you to no end when your special someone's right around the corner. When this happens, don't run like a pussy and shout and howl. Instead, ride along with the joke, so that no one will notice that you have a crush on her.

A favorite tactic of mine is either acting indifferent (which works to varying degrees), or just tease myself too, just to ride along with the assailants of mine. Once she's out of proximity, however, feel free to punch the ones who taunted you. They deserve it.

4. Do not ignore her

Now this one's hard to pull off. This can only be done if (a) you are friends with her or (b) you are really brave. This tactic is related to #3, because this virtually shows that you are not awkward around her, disproving the fact that you like her.

That's all for the day, tune in next time for other random posts! See ya! (2C4U)

Big Hero 7? OH HELL YES!

To all Big Hero 6 fans out there, here's a little happy story for you guys: THERE ARE RUMORS FOR A SEQUEL OF BH6!

Of course, these are just rumors, but still, there's a chance, right?

So anyways, the story circulating today is, what if Tadashi Hamada (brother of Hiro, the main character) was alive, and survived the flames? Impossible, you might say, but try reading this post, and you might have a different outlook.

Basically, this post tells us that Tadashi may have survived the freak university explosion by acquiring some sort of mutant resistance in the heat of the moment (pun definitely intended). This sets up the character Sunfire, who is one of the original Big Hero 6 in the comics and an important character. It's pretty obvious what his powers are, like being impervious to flames.

Why, if you ask, can Tadashi be alive, since the plot shows him to be dead? The answer is simple: In movies, a popular theory that can be seen in many movies and their sequels is that: "If a body is not found, then the character is alive". Was there a scene where Tadashi's remains were dragged out? NO! And if you tell that "Of course, there is no body, because he was cremated ALIVE!", then mister, let me remind you that if this theory pushes through, then Sunfire/Tadashi would survive, because of the powers he accidentally acquired (more or less from one of the apparatuses in the laboratory).

Again, this is just a theory, but this is definitely possible. (2C4U)

Love at first sight? How about NO!!!

Perhaps you have heard of the cliche called as "love at first sight". We see this line almost anywhere: television, radio, and all those really cliche pocketbooks which I don't really know how they are created. Seriously, almost all the stories are spin-offs of other pocket books.

What I really don't understand is how "love at first sight" works. Like really, just one look at someone and you say, "I love him/her!"?. What's the logic behind that? Granted, the person may really be attractive, but hey, looks can be deceiving. REALLY deceiving. She may have a nice pair of... eyes, but deep inside, she may be a total douche.

Bottom line is, you never truly love someone until you get to know him/her closely. Many people fall in love not because of their looks, but of their attitude and mannerisms. Then again, that's another cliche, but this one's easier to believe in. For what its worth, however, there IS a chance of love at first sight, it's just so rare, it almost never happens (unlike what those pocket books want you to believe). (2C4U)

First post: Rapid Fire Posting

So yeah, I started a personal blog. Great.

To kickstart this blog, lemme just give a quick shout-out to people who quickly post totally random stuff on Facebook. You guys are f*cking legends, seriously.

To others that hate these kinds of people, before you go bonkers about how fast they post, try thinking about how great their brains and hands are. Do you realize how quickly they think about a topic to write about? How fast their hands are when typing the post?

However, if the posts are purely about cheesy-ness, being butthurt about love, and other stuff that may be related to that, I'll be the first one to bash that guy. Feel free to do the same!

With that, I end this post. Goodbye! (2Cool4Usernames)
